Call for Placemakers for West Wisconsin Avenue
Tents: Pioneering Public Space
Pioneering Idea Submissions due November 13, 2013
A rejuvenating weekend of overnight urban camping to make Wisconsin Avenue feel like home.
The Greater Milwaukee Committee (GMC) along with ART Milwaukee and beintween received a generous grant from ArtPlace America for ‘Creational Trails: A Placemaking Experience in Milwaukee. As part of ‘Creational Trails, we are pioneering public space on West Wisconsin Avenue in Downtown for the summer in 2014 as an extension of the many gorgeous existing recreational trails and an expression of the inspiring cultures throughout Milwaukee.

Prince Rupert's Drop
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prince_Rupert's_Drop
"The very high residual stress within the drop gives rise to unusual qualities, such as the ability to withstand a blow from a hammer on the bulbous end without breaking, while the drop will disintegrate explosively if the tail end is even slightly damaged." - wiki
